How to install the refrigerator/freezer correctly
The placement of your fridge/freezer is important for it to operate optimally. Factors such as location, ventilation and climate all have a major influence on the product's presentation and energy consumption.
Here you can read more about how to place the fridge/freezer correctly.
Level and firm surface
Place the fridge/freezer directly on a flat and firm surface to avoid vibrations and noise. Look for it to be stable and level. Accurate leveling is ensured by adjusting the leveling feet at the bottom of the product.
Ventilation
Make sure there is good ventilation around the product. During operation, the product emits heat to the surroundings. The hot air must be able to circulate, otherwise the compressor will have to work more, which will result in increased power consumption.
Dry and ventilated room
Place the fridge/freezer in a dry and ventilated room. Avoid placing it on balconies, verandas, outbuildings, garages and terraces. Excessive summer heat and strong winter cold can prevent the product from working optimally or even damage it.
Avoid heat sources
It is not recommended to place the fridge/freezer near heat sources such as ovens or radiators, as this can lead to increased energy consumption.
Correct ambient temperature
The product must be placed within the ambient temperatures that apply to the relevant climate class to ensure correct operation. If the product is placed colder or warmed than the recommended temperatures and it ends up breaking, you risk that the warranty does not cover it.
To read the climate class, see nameplate. You can read more about climate classes here.
